I really love dating apps, especially ones that target specific kinks. However, there is a big problem today, and that is that there are just too many of them. Alt is a really good example for this. Why do I say that? Because while the app is good, there are just not enough members.

ALT is a dating app that focuses on meeting people who are interested in BDSM and other kinks. On paper, this is great, but in reality, there are so many places where you can find this today that people don’t seem to care about ALT.

ALT is a decent platform but lacks interest

Registering on Alt is completely free. This is quite huge, as most platforms of this kind will charge you to even register. However, even before registration, there is a big red flag. Under the Register Now section, there is a counter showing you how many people are online and in your local area.

At the time of this review, Alt had 120 people online, and 0 of them were in my area. That is just disappointing. Honestly, I bet a lot of people tend to avoid registering to begin with because why would they waste time when they are told no one is around? While this feature would be really good if there were thousands of locals who are interested in BDSM, with no one around, it just ruins the website.

Of course, if you decide to overlook the low activity, which, in my opinion, you should, Alt is pretty decent. Browsing Alt is really easy, and you can customize your profile well. I am sure that if Alt blows up in popularity once it is discovered by kinky people like myself, it is going to be a fantastic website. For now, I cannot suggest more than just registering and leaving the notifications on. I really hope Alt gets more people since it is a decent platform.
